First Branding 2011 (Photo Intensive)

The Morning Gather

Its green outside.  Isn't it awesome.

Here is where I give the camera to Angus for awhile.  Yeah he's almost five, but he likes the pictures.

When your 3ft. tall, everything takes on a different look.

It gets busy up at the chute.  A vaccination, some dewormer, and a fly control tag.

The Pop-Pops tell the crew how to get the work done right.

The crew pretending to listen.

Bringing them up the alley.

Traffic jam at the walk through.

You better not be taking my picture.

Caught Ya.

A hair. A kid eating Hair. Get it off.

Can you believe they gave me a camera.

Thats the momma.

Treasures are sure to be found in here.

I'll be trading this water for Mountain Dew when nobody's looking.

The Dad takes the camera back.

I'm on my break, not to disturbed.

We're farmers, we use electric branding irons and a cradle.

Calves coming in to get their brand.

Maggie takes the camera and snaps a pic of the guys.

Heading back out to pasture after getting our shots and a brand.

This ought to be an eye-opener for folks that think raising cattle is like the movies: all glamor and cowboys, and no work at all.

This is great, Wayland. Thanks to Angus and Maggie for the marvelous photography, too.
