Haying begins

 Going Hawaiian for the swather.
She's ready to go for some test cutting.
The smell of fresh cut hay is awesome.

These fields will be ready to cut for in a few weeks.
We are usually putting in thew FINAL push of haying on the 4th of July weekend.
And we are just getting started.  Its going to be a late year.

You are right--fresh hay is one of the best smells. Hope you have sunshine for this job!

I really miss that smell. But the cornfields around here have their own simplicity. Thanks for sharing.
